
Laura Dern
Laura Dern is a three-time Academy Award nominee who won a Best Supporting Actress Oscar for her performance in Noah Baumbach’s film Marriage Story. She is also an Emmy, Golden Globe, SAG, and BAFTA award winner who has touched audiences and critics alike with her moving and heartfelt performances. In addition to her extensive film and television credits, Dern has been prolific in her producing career. In 2017, she established Jaywalker Pictures, a Los Angeles-based production company founded with partner Jayme Lemons with emphasis on great storytelling in film and television.
From 2016 through 2020, Dern also served on the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences’ Board of Governors representing the actors branch. Additionally, Dern has served on the Board of Trustees for The Academy Museum of Motion Pictures since 2019.

David Liu
David R. Liu is the Richard Merkin Professor, vice-chair of the faculty at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, the Thomas Dudley Cabot Professor of the Natural Sciences at Harvard University, and a Howard Hughes Medical Institute investigator. Liu’s research integrates chemistry and evolution to illuminate biology and enable novel therapeutics. His research interests include the engineering, evolution, and in vivo delivery of genome editing agents to study and treat genetic diseases; the evolution of proteins with therapeutic potential using phage-assisted continuous evolution (PACE); and the discovery of bioactive synthetic molecules using DNA-templated synthesis and DNA-encoded libraries. He is an elected member of the U.S. NAS, NAM, and AAAS. He has earned numerous awards and honors in recognition of his research and teaching. He is the founder or co-founder of biotechnology companies including Prime Medicine, Beam Therapeutics, Editas Medicine, Pairwise Plants, Chroma Medicine, Nvelop Therapeutics, and Exo Therapeutics.

Annika Sten Pärson
Annika Sten Pärson is a social entrepreneur, investor, and board member with over 25 years of experience in various C-level executive positions and serving on boards of public and private companies. She is the Co-Founder and Partner at The Inner Foundation, a global mission and impact-driven foundation, investing in innovative solutions, uniting public, private and non-profit efforts to improve inner health and promote diversity, equity and inclusion. Annika’s vision is to set out to propel new ways of investing in the accelerating global mental health crisis to improve and sustain inner health with a special focus on emerging adults.
Annika is a founding member of the investment committee of First Close Partners. She serves on the board of Meela, The World Childhood Foundation, Strong Minds, 29k, and Ashoka Nordics among others — organizations that are making significant impact in their respective fields.
As part of her dedicated work at The Inner Foundation, Annika volunteers as a therapist for young adults at the non-profit clinic 1825 – Therapy Center for Young Adults in Stockholm, an organization she co-founded and currently chairs its Board of Directors.

Frank Doyle
Frank Doyle is the Dean of Engineering at Harvard University, a bioengineering professor, and affiliate professor in the Harvard Medical School. In July, he assumes the role of Provost, the Chief Academic Officer, at Brown University. At Harvard, he has led the formation of interdisciplinary degrees in Design Engineering, Data Science, Quantum Science & Engineering, and a combined MS/MBA degree with the Harvard Business School. He is on the leadership team that launched the $500M Kempner Institute for Natural and Artificial Intelligence. He has received multiple international awards for his role in the development of the artificial pancreas, a smart device that automates insulin delivery for individuals with type 1 diabetes. He is an elected member of the National Academy of Medicine, the National Academy of Inventors, and the National Academy of Engineering. He received a BSE degree from Princeton, CPGS from Cambridge, and PhD from Caltech, all in Chemical Engineering.

Giovanni Fili
Giovanni Fili is an experienced entrepreneur and private investor with more than 20 years of experience in entrepreneurship and 13 years of experience in commercializing high-tech innovations. He founded Exeger in 2009, to develop and commercialize a new generation of solar cell technology better suited for everyday life.
Giovanni has been part of several governmental round table discussions and advisory groups regarding the future sustainable energy technology. He has also participated in official state visits representing the future of Swedish industry. Samantha Cristoforetti
Samantha Cristoforetti is an Italian astronaut who has worked for the European Space Agency (ESA) since 2009. She was born in Milan in 1977 and graduated in mechanical engineering from the Technical University of Munich. Prior to joining the ESA, she worked as an engineer in the Italian Air Force.
In November 2014, Cristoforetti flew to the International Space Station (ISS) as part of Expedition 42/43, becoming the first Italian woman in space. She spent 200 days in space where she carried out numerous European and international experiments in orbit during her mission and helped to maintain the ISS.
Cristoforetti is currently still an ESA astronaut and is involved in various projects related to space exploration and research. She is also a member of the European Astronaut Corps, a group of astronauts who work together on missions for the ESA.
Samantha Cristoforetti is an accomplished astronaut who has made significant contributions to space exploration and research. In 2019 Samantha was serving as a commander for NASA’s NEEMO23 mission during a 10-day stay in the world’s only undersea research station, Aquarius.

Daniel Humm
Daniel Humm is the Chef and Owner of Make It Nice, a New York-based hospitality group behind Eleven Madison Park and Eleven Madison Home. In 2021, Daniel made the decision to reopen Eleven Madison Park post-pandemic as a completely plant-based restaurant. In October 2022, it became the first and only vegan restaurant in the history of the Michelin Guide to receive a three-star rating.
Over the course of Daniel’s tenure, he and Eleven Madison Park have received numerous accolades, including four stars from The New York Times, seven James Beard Foundation Awards (including Outstanding Chef and Outstanding Restaurant in America), first awarded three Michelin Stars in 2011, and reaching the #1 spot on the World’s 50 Best Restaurants list in 2017.

Sammy Basso
Sammy Basso is an Italian 27-year-old man affected by Hutchinson-Gilford Progeria Syndrome, the older in the world by now. He is the spokesperson of the Sammy Basso’s Italian Association for Progeria and the International Ambassador of the Progeria Research Foundation. Being a molecular biologist, he uses to live his own disease in two different and complementary ways: the patient one and the researcher one. In fact, he is involved on representing the patients with Progeria but also on studying this disease both molecularly and medically. He is well known in his country and around the world for his commitment on scientific disclosure on Progeria and rare disease in general. He is also asked to speak about life dignity in relation with the disease, enlightening the importance of working together as team. During the pandemic he was part of the regional and national task force for the scientific disclosure regarding Covid19.

Ann Lee
Ann Young Lee (CORE, CEO and Co-founder) has over 20 years of experience managing large-scale humanitarian responses including community-led sustainable development, emergency relief, urban planning and reconstruction, local governance and beyond. Alongside Sean Penn in 2019, Lee co-founded CORE, an evolution of Penn’s J/P HRO, an organization born in response to the 2010 Haiti earthquake. Since 2016, Lee has spearheaded CORE’s successful transition into a resilience-building INGO, responding to humanitarian and natural emergencies in Puerto Rico, the Caribbean, Latin America, throughout the United States, Ukraine, and beyond.
Before CORE, Lee worked with UNOCHA, the Secretary General’s World Humanitarian Summit, and CHF. At the Women’s Refugee Commission, she developed a gender-sensitive emergency assessment tool, CLARA, now used by INGOs worldwide. Lee, recipient of the prestigious 2009 SID Truman award, authored “Livelihoods in Emergencies: A Double-Edged Sword.” Lee holds an MA in Urban Planning (NYU) and an MA in Economics & Conflict Management (Johns Hopkins University, SAIS).
