Ingrid Silva is a Brazilian choreographer and international principal guest artist, and a former principal dancer with the Dance Theatre of Harlem. Born in Rio de Janeiro, she began her training through social programs before rising to global recognition. Her pointe shoes were added to the collection of the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History & Culture in 2020, marking a historic moment. She has been featured in Vogue, The New York Times, and recognized on Forbes Brazil’s 20 Successful Women list. Silva is the founder of PodHer and co-founder of Blacks in Ballet and Dancers and Motherhood, advocating for equity and representation in the arts. An author and creative leader, she continues to expand her voice internationally through choreography, storytelling, and cross-disciplinary collaborations that connect communities worldwide.
