Dr. Amy Beethe is a practicing pediatric cardiac anesthesiologist of 11 years at Children’s Nebraska Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska. Dr. Beethe received her medical degree, residency training, and fellowship training at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Dr. Beethe and her husband, Ryan, have three biological children. After witnessing the effects of child abuse and neglect on her patients, Dr. Beethe was inspired to become a foster parent. Through foster care, Dr. Beethe and her husband have adopted five additional children. She is a current advocate for foster care reform and legislation at both the state and national levels.
