Anna Borg
Anna Borg has been President and CEO of Vattenfall, one of Europe’s leading energy companies, since 2020. Under her leadership, Vattenfall is working towards its goal to enable fossil freedom that drives society forward – producing ~100 TWh of electricity from nuclear, hydropower, wind and solar, serving 11 million customers, and operating across nine markets.
Borg previously served as CFO of Vattenfall and has more than 20 years of experience from the company in senior roles within sales, trading and business development. Between 2015 and 2017, she led Klarna’s online buying and payment solutions business in the Nordics. Borg is a board member of the holding company FAM and the Women’s executive mentoring programme Ruter Dam. She holds a Master of Economics and Political Science from Uppsala University.
Borg has been named CEO of the Year (2022), Sweden’s Most Influential Energy Person (2022–2023), Sweden’s most powerful woman (2023), included on the TIME100 Climate list (2023), and on Fortune’s Most Powerful Women list (2025)
