Harald Mix is the founder and CEO of Altor Equity Partners, a private equity fund focused on investing in and developing medium-sized companies in Northern Europe. He is also chairman and co-founder of Vargas Holding, an investment firm and impact company builder focused on climate transition. Vargas Holding has co-founded several companies, including Stegra, which is establishing the world’s first commercial-scale producer of fossil-free steel, and Aira, a heat pump manufacturer aiming to accelerate the electrification of residential heating across Europe. Prior to establishing Altor in 2003, Mr Mix was co- founder and deputy CEO of IK Investment Partners, where he focused on private equity investments in the Nordics. Previously, he worked in the principal investment group of the First Boston Corporation and at Booz Allen & Hamilton. He serves on the several boards including Stegra and Aira
