Casper The Ghost

Casper The Ghost does not sound like where they are from. That is part of it.

From the small town of Järvsö, Casper Brodin and Victor Hillbom started making music young, building their world from a home studio surrounded by forests, long winters and time to figure things out. Both come from musical backgrounds in different ways, from church music and choir traditions to family members working with sound design, game music and building instruments from scratch. It shows, even when it is not obvious.

Their breakout single “.Bound” spread fast and found millions of listeners without a traditional push. It captured an early phase, shaped by hip hop, trap influences and a more raw, emotional expression.

But that version of them was never meant to stay still.

They started releasing music as teenagers. Since then, both the sound and the perspective have shifted. What once leaned toward hip hop has opened into something more alternative and melodic. Not as a rebrand, but as a natural result of growing up.

The music reflects that change. More intention, more clarity, and a wider frame of reference. Still instinctive, but more defined.

Gold and platinum records have followed, but the approach remains the same. Make what feels right and let the rest come to them.

Now they are stepping into their next phase. This time, more certain of who they are.
