KURT

KURT is the artist formerly known as BLENDA who during 2019 moved to New York and got signed with Pharrell Williams iconic label Star Trak and Def Jam Recordings.

But due to the pandemic the fairytale became a very short lived experience and she moved back to Sweden, became a mother and decided to co-found the artist management and creative studio FOLK, where she co-signed artists as Deki Alem, Stuzzi and the creative studio she runs has worked on creative productions for artist as Swedish House Mafia and Salvatore Ganacci.

2024 is the year of her return, she has moulted her skin and transformed to the artist KURT, named after a cartoon she has tattooed on her arm, which her daughter named KURT. “It’s an experiment” according to herself, “what if I was a white man?” Using a male name was an intentional choice to first and foremost be taken seriously for her art and challenge the limitations and social frameworks created for black female artists and entrepreneurs.

KURT is set to release her upcoming EP Got Shit On My Pants ACT II, an eclectic mix of sounds blending alternative pop, dance, and old school Chicago House.
